KIHASA and KHIS Sign MOU
On Monday, May 26, at 1:30 p.m., KIHASA and the Korea Health Information Service (KHIS; President: Yeom Min-seop) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the Sejong Conference Hall on the 5th floor of KIHASA. The agreement aims to establish a collaborative framework for the production and utilization of public health information.
This MOU is intended to strengthen collaboration between the two organizations in various areas related to public health information, in order to foster the production and use of high-quality health data, promote public health, enhance policy effectiveness, and drive digital transformation. Under the agreement, the two organizations plan to work together in the following key areas:
■Cooperation in data production and utilization for digital transformation in the health and welfare sectors;
■Promoting public health and improving policy efficiency through the use of public health information;
■Conducting joint research and co-hosting academic events;
■Facilitating the exchange of research materials, publications, and knowledge resources.
Following the signing ceremony, KHIS President Yeom Min-seop gave a special lecture to KIHASA staff titled "Strategies to Enhance the Use of Public Health Data in Health and Welfare Research."
