The National Research Council for Economics, Humanities, and Social Sciences (NRC), under the Prime Minister's Office, held its 370th board meeting on February 20 and appointed Shin Youngseok, Research Professor at Korea University's Graduate School of Public Health, as the 26th President of KIHASA.

President Shin previously served as Vice President of KIHASA, President of the Korean Academy of Health Policy and Management, an evaluation committee member of the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service, and Vice Chair of the Health Insurance Policy Review Committee under the Ministry of Health and Welfare.

His term as President of KIHASA is for three years, from February 24, 2025, to February 23, 2028.
