KIHASA delivered 4 million won, a donation collected from its management and staff, to the Sejong Social Welfare Community Chest in a brief ceremony at Dasan-sil (meaning fertility), a meeting room.

This donation carries a special meaning as everyone at KIHASA chipped in to participate in the sharing for disadvantaged neighbors, wishing everyone a happy holiday season.

"Korea is now ranked among seven biggest economies in the world, but is still lagging behind in the quality of life and happiness as the shadow of inequality and insecurity lingers on in the country," said Lee Tae-soo, president of KIHASA, handing the donation to Ms Lee Kyung-ah, director general of the Community Chest. "Moreover, as COVID-19 continues, the pains of our neighbors in need are growing further. Meager though it might be, as we would like to give our sincere help, we are hoping that it might give those in need the help they need." In response, Ms Lee thanked KIHASA for its continued donation and asked for continued support in the future. She also asked KIHASA to continue to work hard to rid our society of so-called 'welfare blind spots.'

The donation ceremony was attended by, from KIHASA, President Lee Tae-soo, Vice-president Kang Hye-kyu, Administration Director Seong Eun-Ho, General Affairs Management Head Chun Junghun, Public Relations Head Lee Hye-sun, and other staff members, from Sejong Community Chest, Deputy-Director General Ms Lee Kyung-ah and Manager Mr Lee Sang-deok.

Since its move to Sejong City in late 2014, KIHASA has made donations to a couple of charity organizations in the city such as the Sejong Community Chest of Korea and the Sejong City Migrant Workers' Welfare Center, which were collected from its staff or savings from spared management expenses. In 2022, it was selected by the Ministry of Health and Welfare as an institution of merit for its preferential purchasing of the products produced by the severely disabled. KIHASA will continue to be involved in generous charity activities.
