KIHASA to launch 27th Population Forum: Living as an Older Person in the Post-COVID-19 Era

KIHASA will hold the 27th population forum, Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at 2:00 p.m., under the theme of 'Living as an older person in the post-Covid-19 era: Exploring digital solutions for active and healthy ageing (AHA). This forum will be live-streamed on KIHASA's YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q93pT_J0R28)

Beginning the forum, KIHASA president Lee Tae Soo will deliver his welcoming remarks and Park Jin-Kyung, secretary-general of the Presidential Committee on Ageing Society and Population Policy, her congratulatory remarks. The forum's three presentations and a general discussion will look into 'old age,' now different from that in previous generations, and scrutinize strategies in reponse to ageing society at a juncture for Korea moving on to coronavirus endemic. 

Three presentations to be made are on the following topics: "Changes in the lives of the Korean elderly caused by Covid-19," Namkung Eunha, associate research fellow, center for research on old-age policy, KIHASA; "Active ageing strategy using digital tools," Kim Choon-Nam, research fellow, Gyeonggi Welfare Foundation; " Healthy ageing strategy using digital tools," Choi Eunjin, center for health policy research, KIHASA.

This forum seeks to find ways to help older adults live healthily and happily in the post-Covid-19 era by using dital tools and methods for such tasks as communication, learning, living assistance, and care.
